Celebrate  Exercise is Medicine on Campus during the month of October.

RU REWARDS: Get Rewarded for attending Fitness & Wellness Classes (Free, no registration required.)

Earn 1 raffle per class attended during the month of October.Wellness classes are offered weekly at all 4 Recreation centers. View schedules at rec.rutgers.edu or on the RURec2Go app.

Recreation provides free access to over 100 Fitness & Wellness classes per week at all 4 recreation centers. View daily classes at rec.rutgers.edu or the RUREC2GO app.

  • 1 raffle entry per class
  • Self Check in required
  • Weekly prizes: Massage Therapy, Personal Training and Amazon gift cards.

PLANK CHALLENGE (Free, no registration required)

Drop by and complete a 2-minute plank from 12-4pm to win a Rec Prize.   (remove the sentence with the longest plank)

METABOLIC & BODY COMPOSITION ASSESSMENT ($5 registration required)

INTRO TO STRENGTH TRAINING (Free, registration required) 

Learn the basics of strength training in one of our fitness centers. Our personal trainers will guide you through the fundamentals of strength training and ensure that you learn how to lift weights correctly and effectively. Our workouts are carefully designed to promote a full body workout including strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular exercises. You will learn how to use various machines in the fitness center and will leave the session with your own workout.

BENCH PRESS CLUB TEST OUT (Free, registration required)

Join us at the CAG and Livingston Rec Center to complete the Bench Press Challenge. Participants must complete 8 reps of the bench press for a specified percentage of their body weight based on gender identities and weight classes.  If you complete the reps, you will earn a Bench Press Club shirt.
