- To be eligible for student employment, individuals must be currently enrolled at the University with full-time status (minimum 12 credits undergraduate, 9 credits graduate).

Job Descriptions
- Aquatics Instructor
Provides competent, safe instruction as established by the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program. Plans and effectively organizes class time for maximum practice. Prepares weekly lesson plans and teaches with encouragement and positive reinforcement.
- Camp Counselor
Responsible for the safe and enjoyable participation of campers aged 5-14 years in all activities. Acts as an enthusiastic and positive role model while supporting instructors and administrative staff.
- Facility Assistant
Assists with equipment and facility inspection and maintenance, including transportation and set up. Assists with administrative tasks including inputting data for inventory, work orders, and inspection tracking.
- Exercise is Medicine – On Campus Coach
Exercise is Medicine – On Campus Coach – The EIM-OC Coach will provide management of an appointment-based system that provides one-on-one exercise prescriptions. The Coach will represent the EIM-OC program, deliver presentations, and attend promotional events. The EIM-OC Coach must have a current personal training certification, a strong background in fitness, and be competent in providing exercise prescriptions. This position requires virtual and in-person work dictated by the current need of the program. The position is 8 – 15 hrs. per week.
- Exercise is Medicine - On Campus Student Leader
EIM-OC Student Leaders serve during the academic year (September – May) as part of the EIM-OC leadership team, providing a minimum of 30 hours of service each semester. Student leaders will represent the program and its initiatives at university events and engage in relevant programming and promotional opportunities.
- Fitness & Wellness Class Instructor
Teaches, leads, and motivates participants through intentionally designed group fitness & wellness classes. CPR/AED and format specific certifications required.
- Intramural Official
Facilitates intramural sport contests. Upholds sport rules and enforces penalties to ensure sportsmanship and maximum enjoyment by all.
- Lifeguard
Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification required.
- Massage Therapist
Performs therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints to provide health and wellness benefits. NJ Massage Therapy Licensing and CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
- Office Assistant
Provides administrative support for facility, service, and/or programming area(s) within the department.
- Personal Trainer
Provides assessments and develops individualized exercise programs for clients. CPR/AED and personal training certifications required.
- Recreation Assistant
Delivers superior front-line customer service to Recreation visitors and callers, managing facility access, equipment lending, sales, and disseminating information. Supervises fitness centers, ensuring policy compliance, facility cleanliness, and exceptional patron support. Must be CPR/AED and First Aid certified, which is incorporated into our comprehensive training program.
- Rock Gym Belayer
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the College Ave. Gym rock wall in addition to ensuring a safe and comfortable climbing environment for our patrons. Join a tight-knit group of highly trained individuals with opportunities for formal certifications and teaching experience.
- Trip Leader
Provides leadership for the GO Outdoors program by ensuring a quality experience for all participants. Ensures the safety of guests by following all GO Outdoors policies and procedures. This paid position provides numerous training and certification opportunities.
