Bench Press Club:
The Bench Press Club is an opportunity for participants to demonstrate physical achievement and dedication to building upper body strength. The club creates a supportive community where members can celebrate achievements, foster a sense of camaraderie, motivate others, and add an element of fun to training. To become a member of the club, one must perform 8 reps of the Bench Press in correct form. Participants must lift the following:
- Men: 125% of body weight
- Females: 60% of body weight
- MX(Nonbinary): 75% of body weight
Rules:
- The lifter must lie on his back with head, shoulders, and hips in contact with the bench surface. The feet must be flat on the floor.
- After correctly positioning oneself, the lifter may enlist the help of the spotter in removing the bar from the rack.
- After removing the bar from the rack, the spotter may not provide any type of assistance.
- The lifter must lower the bar to the chest, touch the chest, press the bar up until elbows are straight and repeat for 8 reps.
- The lifter cannot rest at the bottom or top of the lift or bounce the bar off the chest.
- At any time if the lifter loses correct positioning, the spotter will inform the lifter and not count that rep. The lifter can continue bench pressing as long as they maintain correct form.
If the lifter is unable to fully lift the bar, the spotter will assist in grabbing the bar and placing the bar back on the rack. No further reps will occur.

RU STRONG:
Compete in 4 Timed Events!
(Ajax Row, Titan Carry, Herculean Ture Flip, and Atlas Stone Lift).
Each event is scored based on total time it takes to complete the event, fastest time wins. Each competitor will be given a brief description of the rules and shown the start position. Once the competitor acknowledges the rules and assumes the start position for the event, they will indicate they are ready to begin. The timer will then initiate the start command as follows: "3, 2, 1, GO!". The timer will start the time on GO! and stop time as indicated in each event below. Timers will give loud, positive encouragement to the competitors while they are performing.
Events Description/Rules
Titan Carry
(2) farmers carry handles will be loaded with a fixed weight based upon the BW class of the competitor. The handles will position with the leading edge at the starting line. The competitor will be allowed to place their hands on the handles but will wait for the start command before lifting the weight. Once the start command is given, the competitor will lift the weight and walk as fast as possible towards the finish line. Time will stop as soon as the competitor and handles are fully past the finish line (not when the weight is put back down). Competitors will be asked to be in control of the weights at all times. Fast walking is permitted, no running.
Ajax Row
A fixed number of heavy bags (determined by the BW class of the competitor) will be attached to a long rope. The bags will be placed at a fixed point approx. 30 meters from the competitor. The competitor will stand on a pad located behind the finish line and grab the rope. Competitors are allowed to take the slack from the rope and await the start command. Once the start command is given, the competitor will pull the rope as fast as possible and move the heavy bags towards the starting line. Time stops as soon as the bags are completely past the starting line. The competitor’s feet must remain on the pad until the bags are completely past the finish line.
Tire Flip
The weight of the tire will be based upon the BW class of the competitor. The competitor will be allowed to place their hands on the tire and get into position and then will await the start command. Once the start command is given, the competitor will flip the tire (7) times in succession. The tire must come to rest before the next flip can occur. Time will stop once the 7th flip is complete, and the tire has settled. If a flip is attempted while the tire is not fully settled, it is not counted.
Atlas Stone
(3) heavy atlas stones in ascending weight will be placed in a line on the floor with approx. 3 meters between each stone. The competitor will be allowed to stand in front of the first stone and await the start command. Once the start command is given, the competitor will bend down and lift the stone onto a raised 55-gallon drum. The competitor will then sprint to the second stone and repeat the process until all (3) stones are placed on the corresponding drums. Once the last stone is placed, the competitor will sprint out and around the stanchions back to the first stone. The competitor will then shift the first stone to the adjacent drum. The competitor will then sprint to the second stone and repeat the process until all (3) stones have been shifted to the adjacent drums. The competitor will then sprint off the end of the mat which will represent the finish line. Time will stop once the competitor has crossed the finish line.
