Recreation encourages all of the Rutgers community to stay active during reading days and finals. Taking an active break while studying can help boost focus and concentration, reduces stress, improves memory retention, boosts creativity and problem-solving and improves physical health.

TOWER JUMP  

This annual event is one of our most memorable opportunities. Participants will jump from our 10-meter diving tower into our 17-foot diving well with the safety and guidance of Rutgers' Varsity Diving Coach and the Rutgers Recreation Aquatic Staff. Do you want to know what it is like to drop from over 30 feet, then join us!

WELLNESS STUDY BREAK  

Recharge your body and mind before finals with our calming wellness event designed to help de-stress and focus and leave with your own DIY aromatherapy rice bag using soothing essential oils to help add a little comfort during your study sessions. Stay for the whole event or just drop in and you will feel more grounded, relaxed, and ready to tackle finals.

11:00-1:00PM: INBODY assessments: Get to know your body better with a free Inbody scan and learn more about your muscle mass, body fat percentage, hydration levels and more. 

 

11:00-1:00PM DIY (do it yourself) Aromatherapy Rice Bags 

 

12:00-1:00PM Restorative Yoga: Ease tension with a gentle yoga session focusing on deep relaxation. 

1:15-1:45PM: Guided Meditation: enjoy the powerful benefits of mediation.  We will gently walk you through the practice that includes visualizations, breathing exercises, or mindfulness techniques.
