Join us on the Raritan River for a casual evening paddle and head upstream to watch the sun set over the Hub City skyline. This is one of our signature trips that you won't want to miss! Open to Rutgers Students, Faculty, Staff & Rec Members!
No prior experience is necessary, but participants should be comfortable on the water and able to swim. We utilize a small fleet of capable single-seat sea kayaks on our river outings. Recreation will provide kayaks, paddles, PFD's, and river guides for your experience. We strongly suggest that you wear clothing that is appropriate for the weather (you'll probably get wet!), and bring a towel, snacks, and plenty of drinking water. We require everyone to wear an approved flotation device (PFD) and footwear (sneakers, river sandals, or close-toed shoes - no flip flops or slides, please) on all of our water adventures.
Meeting location is the Rutgers Class of 1914 Boathouse, located at 5 Memorial Parkway in New Brunswick - this is a short walk from the Hickman Hall bus stop.
