RU Rec 2-Week Step Challenge

Join our annual Step Challenge and make movement a habit.

Did you know that 7,500 steps a day can help boost overall health, improve focus, and increase energy? Throughout the challenge, you’ll receive daily wellness tips and Rutgers Recreation programming highlights to keep you moving.

Participants who complete 52,500 steps per week will be entered into raffles for:

  • Amazon gift cards
  • Start-Up Personal Training packages
  • Massage appointments

Sound Bath at the Cook/Douglass Pool

Relax to the sounds of a crystal bowl sound bath while floating on the water. De-stress from your day and let your worries drift away.

Glow Climb

Blacklights are back at the Rockwall. Join us as we light up the College Avenue Rockwall with UV lighting for a glow-in-the-dark climbing experience.

IKEA Café: Hej Rutgers

The Swedish Café is coming to campus. Every IKEA Family member can redeem a free craft drink and complimentary snack.

Take a Fika break in front of the College Avenue Gym and enjoy a moment to slow down.

Breathe & Bloom Yoga

Take a pause and give yourself the gift of calm. This gentle yoga and guided meditation class invites you to inhale peace and exhale stress.

Move mindfully, breathe deeply, and leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and ready to bloom into spring.

Move with Meaning Workshop

A wellness experience that blends movement, reflection, and community.

Each session combines yoga or Pilates with journaling and guided conversation—creating space to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

Whether you come for movement, reflection, or simply a moment to breathe, this is a space to show up as you are and leave feeling grounded.

Bring Your Kids to Work Day at Recreation

Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to bring their kids to Recreation.

College Avenue Gym (11:30 AM–1:30 PM):
Games, crafts, sports, and Rockwall climbing (first come, first served)

Werblin Recreation Center Pool (1:30–3:30 PM):
Open swim at the patio pool

First Saturdays at the Rockwall (New)

Join us on the first Saturday of each month for extended climbing hours.

Time: 3:00–7:00 PM
Includes bouldering, top-rope climbing, and free harness rentals for students. Staff are available to assist beginners.
