Pool Parties
Come swim and splash with us! Take advantage of the world-class facilities that Rutgers has to offer. We do not provide food or decorations, but can happily recommend some local vendors. Party fee is $450. Click the “Book Swim Party Now” button below to see available dates and times.
- Arrival & Setup
Our facility is located at 130 College Ave, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. You may enter the pool deck located at no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled party start time. Our staff will have tables, chairs, and tablecloths set up for your use. At least two adults must be present for the duration of the party.
- Waivers
All guests entering the pool must have a completed waiver. Waivers may be completed in advance (please bring a screenshot of the confirmation email), or guests may scan the QR code at the pool and complete the waiver upon arrival. A parent or guardian must sign the waiver for all children.
- Pool Access & Rules
With your booking, you will have access to the entire pool, surrounding deck, changing stations, and one bathroom for your 2 hour booking, which you may use at your discretion.
Please note that locker rooms and the bathrooms located inside them are open to Rutgers students during operating hours and will remain locked to birthday party guests for the duration of the event.
A swim test is required for every participant who wishes to enter the pool. The swim test follows the Red Cross Water Competency Sequence and includes:- Jumping into water deeper than the participant’s head
- Completing an upright 360-degree turn
- Treading water for one minute
- Swimming the full length of the pool on the front using front crawl or breaststroke
Two American Red Cross Certified lifeguards will be present for the duration of your party. Participants who do not pass the swim test must wear a life jacket while in the deep pool. Life jackets may also be required in the small pool at the discretion of Rutgers Aquatics staff.
Children under the age of 5 are not permitted to enter the water.- Capacity & Equipment
Up to 30 children may enter the water once all waivers are completed. Seating and tables will be provided for up to 30 participants.
Outside swimming toys (including balls, sinking toys, and inflatables) are not permitted. Guests may use pool noodles provided by Rutgers Recreation. Life jackets may be brought in if they are coastguard approved.
A TV and speakers are available on the pool deck for your use.- Food & Beverages
Rutgers Recreation staff will not provide food or drinks. You are welcome to bring outside food and beverages; however, utensils, cups, and plates will not be provided, so please plan accordingly. Glass is not permitted in the facility.

We encourage guests to carpool whenever possible, as parking spots cannot be reserved and the College Avenue Gym parking lot fills quickly.
Participants who are not affiliated with Rutgers are eligible for a parking permit.
Please note:
- Use of this permit by Rutgers students, faculty (including PTLs), or staff (including temporary and hourly employees) is prohibited and may result in a $100 fine
- A license plate number is required to complete registration
