HATHA YOGA 200 HOUR TEACHER TRAINING

Dates: September 22-24, October 6-8, November 3-5, November 10-12, December 1-3, January 12-14, February 2-4, March 2-4, April 13-15 and 20

Time: Each weekend the classes meet: Friday 6-9:30pm, Saturday 8am-5:30pm, Sunday 8am-5pm (one hour lunch on Sat. and Sun)

Location: Inner Light Yoga Studio – North Brunswick, NJ

 

This program is designed for anyone wanting to deepen their yoga practice. Each weekend with consist of biomechanical principles, asana (poses), pranayama (breathing), meditation and philosophy. Not only will you feel empowered in your own practice, you will also learn how to share your skills and enthusiasm with others. Learn how to teach yoga to various populations. You will learn to inspire students, to use effective language, sequence classes for different levels, perform hands on and therapeutic adjustments. The only pre-requisite: Desire to enhance your practice and life! The Immersion and Teacher Training Series completes requirements for the 200 HourYoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training Program.

BODYCOMBAT®

PUNCH AND KICK YOUR WAY INTO KNOCKOUT SHAPE. BODYCOMBAT™ is a high-energy martial-arts inspired workout, totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. This two-day training teaches instructors tools and techniques needed to coach their classes through scientifically-proven moves while pumping out encouragement and motivation to great music. You’ll leave the training ready to inspire people to be fit and come back for more!

SPRINT®

LES MILLS SPRINT™ is a 30-minute High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout using an indoor bike to achieve fast results. It’s a short, intense style of training where the thrill and motivation comes from pushing your physical and mental limits. A high intensity, low impact workout, it’s scientifically proven to return rapid results. This two-day training teaches instructors tools and techniques needed to coach their classes through scientifically-proven moves while pumping out encouragement and motivation to great music. TRX® SUSPENSION TRAINING INSTRUCTOR COURSE

TRX Education is a movement-based training curriculum that provides fitness professionals with a progressive approach to learning the system of Foundational Movement Coaching. Our courses progress from practicing Foundational Movement standards with the TRX Suspension Trainer, to developing your skills and integrating multiple training tools with individuals or groups. Altogether our progressive, movement-based training curriculum enables you to Move Better, Train Better, and ultimately, Coach Better. Rutgers Recreation is aware that many of its participants are busy and cannot commit to regularly scheduled classes that run throughout the entire semester. Thus, we offer a variety of one-time workshops that give you a taste of our classes and allow you the opportunity to explore different options and help you determine what classes you really enjoy without having to commit.  We also offer many workshops that provide information that will enhance your knowledge in the area of fitness, nutrition, stress relief, strength training, and many more.
