Rutgers Recreation offers FREE fitness orientations to all students, faculty/staff, and members to help acclimate new patrons to our facilities. As part of the fitness orientation you will receive:

  • A 45-minute initial overview on how to use the fitness equipment safely and correctly.
  • A workout card notating seat adjustments, repetitions and number of sets performed, and proper weights utilized.
  • A full-body workout with trained staff, utilizing fitness equipment and demonstrating proper form and progression for future workouts.

Please come prepared to workout out in exercise clothing and proper footwear. Please note:  This is not a personal training session and all appointments are completed by our fitness staff, not personal trainers.
