Baltimore Aquarium Dive Trip
Location: Meet at Werblin Main Lobby
On Saturday, April 29, 2017, Rutgers Scuba will travel to Baltimore, MD to visit the National Aquarium in the Baltimore Inner Harbor for an Aquarium Dive experience.
That’s right, you heard us – DIVE in the National Aquarium in Baltimore!
Dive in the beautiful Atlantic Coral Reef tank and experience all the abundant life from a perspective only a few ever get to experience. Led by the professional dive staff of Atlantic Edge Dive Center, divers will be taught the basics of Aquarium diving before taking the plunge into the world of rays, sharks, and 53 species of fish. As you dive among these fascinating creatures, you will also learn the role divers can play in reef conservation and how to be a steward of our precious natural resources. There is a brief classroom session where we will learn about the Aquarium, its conservation message, the animals we will see, etc. There is a dive briefing at the exhibit, gear up and then hop into the water! You would have to travel around the globe to experience a day of diving like this, but with this fun-filled experience you can have it all right here just hours away from Rutgers!
Prerequisites – Must be a Certified Diver. Must be 18 years old.
Trip cost: $225.00 per diver
Price includes round trip transportation from Rutgers to Baltimore, All equipment, and general admission to the aquarium. Optional Aquarium Diver Distinctive Specialty available for an additional $30 cost. Not included: special exhibits, meals, snacks or souvenirs.
Do you have a friend who is a non-diver? Have them join you for the fun on the other side of the aquarium glass (good photo ops) for just $60.00 per non-diver. Non-diver price includes admission to aquarium and transportation. Non-divers can come along too!
